Which pointing sources to use ? Guidelines for the observer.
IRAM 30m telescope
We recommend to use XEphem to view the sky coverage of pointing sources, using the catalogs described below. Note that XEphem also allows to plot the current telescope position, to find nearby sources.
Heterodyne
Flux monitoring program (access only IRAM internal)
These web pages explain the ongoing flux monitoring program with EMIR and helps the observer to select bright and nearby pointing sources:pointingIRAM30m.edb for XEphem. The size of the markers reflect their most recently observed fluxes.
