The instrument
General description
NIKA is a prototype camera at the focus of the 30 m IRAM telescope. It measures the continuum emission of astronomical sources at 260 and 150 GHz (the 1 and 2mm bands) simultaneously in a FOV of 2.3 arcminute diameter.
