Programm for today. Yesterday we could do only a small fraction of the reorganised observing plan (see Jan 25 sheet 6 logbook), so resume it. We need Juan Peñalver to change the lateral focus, so keep the 3D focus on beam maps for tomorrow. We also need to fulfil important missing observations for polar. After looking at visibility plot of Crab and quasars observed on Jan 24, and view the still missing continuum observations important for full insrumental characterization I (SL) propose the following program. Weather forecast very good, so hopefully for once we can do all the program.
- Polariser on. Pointing and focus and pointliss on 3C454.3 that was observed on Jan 24, observe also 2013+370. If done quickly at the beginning of the session they will be at higher elevation than on Jan 24 (probably keep 3C84 for latter).
- Polariser on. Observe Crab and CasA.
- Polariser on. Skydip. Dismount polar at sunset.
- Continuum. Scan of MWC349 before it set.
- Focus and Beam maps on Uranus.
- Pointing session.
- Photometric calibration on primary and secondary calibrators with Lissajous scans and small OTF maps (Az El and/or few RA DEC for testing). Some secondary that will have not already set: W3OH, CepA, NGC7538.
- Check geom on CygA (and possibly M82 again).
- (if enough time: Test various OTF Zig Zag orientations; in particular Ra Dec scan on NGC891).
- (if enough time: Deep integration).
- Keep last 1.5 hour to mount again the polariser, and observe again 3C84, Crab, and CasA, and observe KL(ORI).
Remark for NIKA staff: Good data are on RAW_X10
