Information on Observations with the 30m

mrt-lx7 - PAKO-Terminal

Select the XFCE Session
login the project
open a terminal (Applications Menu -> Terminal Emulator)
if the promt is not shown properly go to Edit -> Profile preferences -> Colors and uncheck the option "Use colors from system theme"
be sure that you are in the home directory (just type cd)
change to mrt-lx1 (ssh -X mrt-lx1)
type 'gopako', 'pakodisplay', and 'pako'

mrt-lx7 - CLASS, MIRA, etc-Terminal

CLASS

open a terminal (see above)
be sure that you are in the home directory (type 'cd')
change to mrt-lx2 or mrt-lx3 (ssh -X mrt-lx2; ssh -X mrt-lx3)
type 'cd observationData/mira'
type 'CLASS'

MIRA

open a terminal (see above)
be sure that you are in the home directory (type 'cd')
change to mrt-lx2 or mrt-lx3 (ssh -X mrt-lx2; ssh -X mrt-lx3)
type 'cd mira'
type 'MIRA'
Some tricks:
- type '@demo' to load all the data
- type 'ftd' to load the data of that day (ftd means find today)

mrt-lx8 - XEphem-Terminal

Select the XFCE Session
login the project
open a teminal (see above)
be sure that you are in the home directory (just type cd)
change to mrt-lx3 (ssh -X mrt-lx3)
type '.xephem/xephem.exe &'
If telescope position is not shown, type 'azElToXephem.py'
Some tricks:
- view, skyview
- Start automatic, regular updates of the sky display: press 'RT' next

to Looping

plot sources: Data - Files - Select Catalog
plot visibility tracks: right click on course, create trail
plot position of one source: Data - Index - enter name - click on Sky
