NIKA2 technical run #67 / August 2024
Back to the NIKA2 Run 67 main page
Goal: Carry out verification and performance tests of the 30 m telescope using NIKA2, after recoating of M1
Essential issues to be tested:
- Check the feasibility and correctness of NIKA2 observations in a first approach after the last stop
- Test day/night behaviour of the beams
- Photometry and RMS check using flux calibrators for estimating improvements
Observations required:
Standard day/night point & focus sequences
- A good statistics of calibration scans on selected planets and secondary flux calibrators (see visibility plot)
- NIKA2 beam maps (stable conditions, ~30 min each); possible targets to be used: 2251+158, Uranus, 0316+413
- A new lateral focus session would be necessary (stable conditions, telescope relaxed; it takes about 3h)
Input documentation
- Scripts and source files are located in the ~/pako/Scripts_30mCommissioning_2024/ folder of the t22 account.
