############################## PROJECT INFO ##################################

   Run:                  1st NIKA2 pool
   Project:              001-17
   PI:                   Pablo Garcia
   Contact:              pgarcia@iram.es
   Target: The dust SED of dwarf galaxies: NGC4449
   Allocated time:       9 hours

########################### WEATHER CONDITIONS ###############################

In the proposal we asked for pmw < 7 mm.

   => tau_225GHz = 0.0405 * pmw + 0.0105 ~ 0.3

Therefore, this project is meant to be observed only when tau is < 0.3.
However, in conditions of good stability, values up to tau ~0.5 are acceptable.
In case of doubt ask the AoD.

######################## OBSERVATIONS BOOKKEEPING ############################

We prepared a script to observe our target (see ~/001-17/observe_NGC4449.pako)
consisting of 3 rounds of on-the-fly maps. The scanning direction adopts
3 different values (0, 45, and 90 degrees) within each round in order to avoid
striping artifacts. The execution of the script will take ~90 minutes (3 rounds,
3 scanning directions, 10 min per map), so "observe_NGC4449" must be executed
6 times to reach the allocated time. If you observe this project, please keep
the number of repetitions (Nreps) updated.

################################ INSTRUCTIONS ################################

The NIKA2 wiki provides instructions to start PaKo and to setup the telescope:

 ->  http://www.iram.es/IRAMES/mainWiki/Continuum/ObservingSession

Once PaKo is open, load the setup script:

   PAKO> @ ~/001-17/setup_199-14

Then do a pointing on the nearby pointing source:

   PAKO> source 1144+402 /cat *
   PAKO> @ nkpoint b

Once the scan is done, introduce the pointing corrections (see the wiki).

Check the value of the FWHM. If FWHM > 21 arcseconds then the telescope needs
to be focused (see the wiki).

Load the observing script:

   PAKO> @ ~/001-17/observe_NGC4449

Once the script is done go to the pointing source and do a pointing.
Please, DO NOT forget to check again if the telescope needs to be focused.

Thank you very much!
